I often get asked "Can I bring my dog to my photo session?" and the answer is always YES! Fur friends are members of our family and they should be documented too. I have tips and tricks to get a fur friend to look at me and if they decide that they don't want to, that is okay too! In a case where a dog doesn't want to participate we can play and aim for fun candids. Here are some tips and tricks to prepare for a photo session with your dog.

Bring treats. Does your furry friend have a favorite dog treat that he/she likes? Bring some! Treats can be used to get the pup to participate, do tricks or look at the camera.

Make sure that they have had their food, water and have used the bathroom prior to when the session starts. Take them on a walk prior to your session/ceremony to wear them out a bit.

Bring a dog sitter. Having someone around to hang out with your furry friend when they've had enough is a great idea! Also we can bring the pup in and out or if they get restless the dog sitter can help relieve the pup.
