5 Tips for Preparing for a Headshot Session
.
- Grooming & Make-Up. We recommend that clients have haircuts and are groomed before the session. We suggest a professional hair and make-up artist and can provide one for you. Our makeup artists are amazing at creating natural professional looks without being overpowering.
- Rest & Hydration. Get a good night's rest before the shoot to look fresh and alert. Stay hydrated on days leading to your session to ensure your skin is best for our hair and make-up artist and your shoot.
- Practice posing and expressions in the mirror. We help with all the posing and help with expressions but to figure out what you like before your session wouldn't hurt.
- Wardrobe Selection. We provide our clients with access to our client closet as well as a What to Wear Guide to ease minds on what to wear to their session. A few tips when selecting from your wardrobe, avoid busy patterns and stick with solid colors. Logos other than ones belonging to your brands should be avoided. Incorporate colors of your brand. Incorporate clothing that is particular to your profession for example if you are a doctor you might want to bring a lab coat and stethoscope.
- Arrive Early. Arrive up to 10-15 minutes early to allow yourself time to get settled in, relax, and discuss any last-minute details.
